Membership Application (page 1)

2017 Candidate Bottler Membership

Candidate Bottler (non-voting applicant) is defined as a company whose principal business is the production and bottling, or importing (and distribution) of bottled water that is intended for human consumption within Canada, but has not yet passed the required third party inspection. All bottler members are required by the CBWA By-laws to submit and pass a third party inspection. A candidate bottler has two (2) years to pass the CBWA third-party inspection. Candidate bottler dues are a flat fee, plus the cost of inspection.

Candidate bottlers will have their first third party inspection scheduled as an announced audit. After the first inspection, all others will receive 5 days advance notice.

Use of the CBWA logo is not permitted until after their first passing score on the third party inspection. Once the third party inspection is passed, a Candidate Bottler will become a full Bottler Member (voting member).

Please note that payment of dues indicates agreement to abide by the CBWA By-laws and other standards established by the CBWA Board of Directors. Submission of a full analysis of source water (based on CBWA Model Code) is required with payment of dues.

Each Candidate Bottler company will receive a free listing in the annual CBWA Membership Roster and receive a discount to participate in the Annual Canadian Bottled Water Convention and Trade Show. Additional services include: government relations, public relations, and social media; regulatory updates; technical information; workshops and training; industry networking; and eLearning website technical training.
